DHgate Coupons Explained (2026): New-Buyer Pack, Sale Math and Buyer Protection

DHgate coupons are not one thing. There are three kinds: DH coupons funded by the platform, new-buyer coupons, and seller coupons funded by each store. During sales, platform discounts are fixed amounts per spend threshold, which caps the real discount at about 10%. Codes like “VE4” or “55% off sitewide” on coupon sites do not appear in any DHgate source.

dhgate.com blocks automated reading, so these facts come from archived copies (2025 to October 2026) of DHgate’s own homepage, coupon center and Buyer Protection pages, and DHgate’s own press releases. Checked October 7, 2026.

The math behind “up to 90% off”

The 90% applies to individual listings set by sellers. The platform-wide discount in the 2026 Spring Sale was $6 off every $60, up to $60:

  • $60 cart: $6 off (10%)
  • $100 cart: still $6 off (6%), because the next step starts at $120
  • $600 cart: $60 off, the maximum (10%)

So keep your cart just above a multiple of $60, and do not expect more than 10% from platform coupons. The real savings on DHgate come from the listing price and bulk tiers.

Buyer Protection, in days

  • Order not shipped or not received: refund; open the dispute after the latest estimated delivery date plus 10 days.
  • Not as described: 21 days after the carrier marks it delivered. Damaged: 7 days.
  • Disputes must be opened before the order status becomes “Closed”; VIP buyers get 30 more days.
  • Refunds to cards take 7 to 15 business days.

DHgate sale calendar

  • March 10 to 29, 2026: Spring Sale, up to 90% off listings, $6 off every $60 up to $60.
  • August 10 to 31, 2026: 22nd Anniversary Sale, up to 90% off listings, $22 no-minimum coupon for community participants.

What other sites get wrong

  • Codes like DH2026OCT, VE4, E40 or VE8. None appears in any DHgate source.
  • “55% off sitewide.” DHgate’s platform discounts are fixed amounts per threshold, about 10% at most.
  • “$60 for new users.” The new-buyer pack shown by DHgate is $21.
