The military savings grow with lines: $15 a month on one line, $40 on two, $60 on four on Experience plans, which is the $720 a year T-Mobile advertises for a family of four.

The four-line trap
For four lines on Essentials, T-Mobile’s general Essentials 4 Line Offer costs $100 a month, less than Essentials Military at $110. The military plan is not always the cheapest T-Mobile option. On Experience plans, the military version does win clearly ($140 vs $200 for four lines).
