AT&T’s Appreciation Savings gives military, teachers and retired police and firefighters a discount that depends on the plan: 20% on Premium 2.0, 15% on Extra 2.0, 10% on Value 2.0, nothing on Elite 2.0. Active first responders and many healthcare workers, including CNAs, go through FirstNet instead. Many sites still quote 25%, which comes from an older AT&T legal page.

25% or 20%?
An older AT&T legal page with 25% on Starter, Extra and Elite plans is still online, and most third-party pages copied it. The current Appreciation Savings page gives 20% at most, on Premium 2.0. AT&T’s own pages also disagree on the yearly saving for four lines (“$600 per year” vs $480 from the plan card prices).
How AT&T compares for a military family

| T-Mobile Essentials Military | $80 |
| AT&T Value 2.0 with 10% Appreciation Savings | $81 |

What other sites get wrong
- “25% military discount.” Current maximum is 20% (Premium 2.0).
- “FirstNet and Family is 25%.” Family lines get 20/15/10% by plan.
- “55+: max 2 lines, no internet needed.” AT&T’s support page (May 2026) ties the 55+ discount to Fiber or Internet Air.
