Staples no longer has a teacher discount program. Classroom Rewards was folded into Staples’ general Easy Rewards program around March 2024, and the current Easy Rewards terms (updated February 10, 2025) do not mention teachers at all. Teachers now earn what everyone earns: about 0.5% back in points.
- Teacher program
- None since about March 2024
- Easy Rewards (everyone)
- 1 point per $1; 200 points = $1, so about 0.5% back
- Military
- None (ID.me: “We’re not aware that Staples offers Military discounts.”)
- Seniors, students
- None

What happened to Classroom Rewards
Under the old Staples Rewards program, teachers could earn extra back on classroom supplies, and parents could link their accounts to a teacher through “Reward a Classroom.” Since about March 13, 2024 the Classroom Rewards page redirects to the general Easy Rewards page, and the old /rewardaclassroom and /teacherrewards addresses lead to a recycling page.
What $400 of school supplies earns today
At 1 point per dollar and 200 points per $1 reward, $400 earns 400 points, which is $2. For teachers, store sales and back-to-school price matching matter far more than rewards.
What other sites get wrong
- “Teachers get up to 10% back, up to $1,000 every 180 days.” That describes a program that no longer exists.
- “Teachers earn 5% in store and 2% online in Easy Rewards.” The Easy Rewards terms contain no teacher rate.
- “20% teacher discount.” No Staples source supports it.
Where teachers can still get a discount
Several brands keep teacher programs, for example Nike (10% online) and adidas (30% off select full-price items, once).
