How Home Depot promo codes work online

Home Depot does not publish a permanent public coupon code. On its own coupons page, the answer to "How can I get a promo code?" is to sign up for Home Depot emails or review its current credit card offers, and the Home Depot app lets you apply promotion codes directly from your phone.

The rules that matter most sit in Home Depot's Terms of Use. Coupons issued by Home Depot:

• may not be combined with other coupons or promotions, or used on prior purchases;
• are void if sold or transferred;
• may not be applied to merchandise on sale or clearance, special order items, tool rental fees, labor items, gift cards, or services including freight and delivery, and in some cases not to major appliances or commodity products.

In practice, plan on one Home Depot coupon per purchase, and expect a code to be rejected on items already on sale.

Free shipping rules

For many products you do not need a free shipping code at all. Home Depot's delivery page says standard delivery is always free for over 2 million items. Oversized or heavy items range from free to $55 or $79.

• Free same-day delivery: in August 2026 Home Depot announced free same-day delivery on orders of $25 or more placed by 4 p.m. Availability varies by ZIP code.
• Pickup: free in-store pickup and free curbside pickup are available for online orders, subject to availability.

10% off offers: what is real

Two 10% offers appear on homedepot.com itself:

• Style and Decor emails: the coupons page offers 10% off select furniture, home accents, bedding and bath when you sign up for Style and Decor emails.
• Military Discount: 10% off eligible purchases for verified service members, veterans and spouses (details below).

The same page lists $5 off your next $50 in-store purchase when you sign up for coupons sent to your phone, and the site footer offers $5 off for signing up for Home Depot emails. Home Depot's own pages do not show a sitewide 10% off code.

Military discount

The Military Discount takes 10% off select in-stock purchases, with a maximum discount of $400 per year that resets each calendar year.

• Who qualifies: active and reservist members, veterans and retirees of the U.S. military, including NOAA and the USPHS Commissioned Corps, plus the current spouse of an eligible service member and Gold Star spouses. Non-spousal dependents do not qualify.
• Enrollment: log in to or create a personal Home Depot account and verify once through SheerID. Spouses and service members need separate accounts.
• Using it online: sign in on homedepot.com and the discount is applied automatically to eligible items at checkout. No code is needed.
• Exclusions: most appliances, commodity products such as lumber, wire and building materials, value priced merchandise, special order items, tool rental fees, labor, gift cards, freight and delivery. It cannot be combined with other promotions or applied to clearance items or prior purchases.

Price match

Under its Price Match Guarantee, Home Depot matches identical, in-stock items from local stores and select online retailers including Lowe's, Menards, Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and Target, when sold and fulfilled by the retailer itself. Marketplace and membership sites such as eBay, Wayfair, Costco and Sam's Club are excluded, as are clearance items, special orders and limited-time promotions like Black Friday. For online orders, use Live Chat or call 1-800-430-3376. If the price drops after you buy, you can request an adjustment within 30 days.

Pro Xtra

Pro Xtra is Home Depot's loyalty program built for Pros. Home Depot describes it as offering personalized offers on the products members buy most, perks, volume pricing and rewards on qualifying purchases, plus business tools. Pros can also check the Pro Special Buy of the Week, where new savings start each Monday.

Special Buy of the Day and seasonal events

The Daily Deals page carries Home Depot's deals of the day. These offers are online only, while supplies last, and reset at 3 a.m. ET. Bigger sales follow a yearly calendar:

• Spring Black Friday: April 9 to 22 in 2026, following the Spring Starts event (March 19 to April 1), in store, online and in the app.
• Labor Day Savings: August 27 to September 9 in 2026.
• Black Friday: November 27, 2026, when stores open at 6 a.m. Stores are closed on Thanksgiving, November 26. Check the current terms for the dates of the online Black Friday sale itself.

Ways to save without a code

• Subscriptions: the Savings Center lists 5% off eligible products plus free delivery when you subscribe.
• New credit card accounts: Home Depot's credit offers (valid through January 27, 2027, subject to credit approval) give $25 off a single purchase of $25 to $299, $50 off $300 to $999, or $100 off $1,000 or more, used within 30 days of opening the account. The consumer card also offers 6-month financing on purchases of $299 or more, with interest charged from the purchase date if not paid in full in time.
• Rebates: check the Rebate Center for current product rebates before you buy.
