Ace Hardware has no company-wide military discount. Most Ace stores are, in Ace’s own words, “independently owned and operated,” so each owner decides. Some stores give 10% every day, some only on one weekday, many give nothing. Here is what we could confirm and how to check your store before you go.
- Chain-wide program
- None
- Online
- No military discount found on acehardware.com
- In store
- Depends on the store owner
- Verification
- Usually a military ID at the register, where offered
Checked on October 7, 2026 against acehardware.com and individual Ace store pages.
Examples from Ace stores’ own pages
- An Ace store in Wichita, KS: “Active and Retired Military receive 10% off everyday,” plus 10% for seniors on Thursdays.
- Ace stores in Dale City and Manassas, VA: double Ace Rewards points every day and an extra 10% on Wednesdays with military ID.
Two stores, two different programs, which is exactly why a single answer for “Ace Hardware military discount” does not exist.
How to find out if your Ace store has one
- Open your store’s page from the store locator on acehardware.com. Store pages often list local discounts and events.
- If nothing is listed, call the store and ask whether they give a military or veteran discount, which day, and what ID they accept.
- Ask whether it combines with Ace Rewards offers; this is also set locally.

The two big chains both give 10%: Home Depot (up to $400 a year) and Lowe’s (no yearly limit).
What other sites get wrong
- “20% off on the first Friday of every month, online too.” We found no Ace page that says this, and no online military discount.
- “Police, firefighters and EMTs qualify.” Not a chain policy; only individual stores decide.
- “There is a maximum discount limit.” There is no chain program, so there is no chain limit either.
